Big-Ed wrote: | Another quick question re symbols, once i have completed my excel layout (i will use one of the existing ones from here and just rename and change coordinates etc) how do i link that to a bmp that i have. Just a case of naming them the picture the same as the folder? ie asda.csv and asda.bmp? |
correct and it needs to be 22 x 22 pixels and would appear that 1bit (i.e. black and white) won't work - save it as a 16-bit bmp.

Dear MaFt,
I am reluctant to scrounge and use other people's hard work, but have you been able to create more i3 comaptable POIs. I ask because I dont currently have Excel (on order though) and Im not sure if there's an alternate way of converting, so have to rely on others at the moment.
Cheers |

friendlybloke: we're having some building work done at hoe so my PC is turned off for the time being so as not to risk it suddenly being powered down... i have some poi files on my work PC but no way to upload them to my space. hopefully i can get them up tonight - steve-the-builder seems to think we'll be electrically secure(!) by this afternoon. we shall see!!
the link will be the same and i'll post it once the new one has been uploaded.

plus, now for the southerners in the world, it includes the london congestion zones. i've set the speed on these to 0mph so when you're driving nearby it should flag it up. another suggestion on a different thread was if you set it to avoid toll roads it should take you around - however, i don't know how up to date garmin are with toll roads in the uk!
i'm nowhere near london and never plan on driving that way but if anyone wants to try it and let me know if it works!

Thanks for the POI files, I can confirm that they work on my C320 too! The only problems I've got, is that the 'Homebase' and 'Congestion Zone' bitmaps don't display correctly, which seems strange if they do on the i3. Any ideas? |
