Sorry, the other question would be... if I make one and it all goes wrong, can I just delete (or rename) the folder and it will go back to the default menues? _________________ TomTom 6 - SPV M5000 and WM6

I would prefer to have the default one, and then cut and paste a few commands as needed |
No, the whole directory typically doesn't exist! One advantage: do something wrong -> just delete the TomTom.mnu file and you have your default menu back.
Therefore:
1. You are creating a directory SDKRegistry from scratch
2. You are creating a file TomTom.mnu from scratch and move it into the directory created under (1)
3. You use this file http://www.pocketnavigation.de/board/attachment.php?attachmentid=16723 as TomTom.mnu
4. Take care to leave exactly one (1) carriage return/linefeed after the last item. Do not insert empty lines!
5. Move items around at will, but never more than five(5) under one submenu heading.
My number 5 menu:

saw your post so tested it and yes, deleting the new folder and or file reverts back to the original menus _________________ SW

Have Palm users really got this working?
I have just checked, double checked and tripple checked and its just not working for me.
I even added a single CR/LF at the end of the file, as you suggested above, but its still the same!
As per your suggestion, I have deleted the file.. Recreated a new one and put in YOUR config, exactly as you have shown it..
Can you confirm that you have read for sure that this works on the Palm?

YEAHHHH! Congratulations! Now lets see everyone go back to their preferred taste of menu.
I just switched to English for some screenshots, again on my pbase gallery at http://www.pbase.com/newmikey/crops
The English ones are Menu1_en through Menu7_en
My number three menu in English:

Happened to me too. Typically that would be a [space] inserted at the wrong place, too may items under one menu page, a missing "|" in a line or 2 CR/LF's at the end of the file.
Trash the file and start again.
I'm going to sign off, exhausted. From far away Luxembourg I wish you all a pleasant evening! |

Great thanks works fine.
At first I got the error iNrArguments > 0
But after playing around (cutting and pasting the file from the link http://www.pocketnavigation.de/board/attachment.php?attachmentid=16723)
The folder doesn’t exist by default create in the root \TomTom\SDKRegistry
( the tomtom folder should exist)
When first crating the mnu file in notepad and saving it you may end up with tomtom.mnu.txt so you need to rename it to tomtom.mnu
I can now change the menus thanks
Can you insert 1 new menu at the beginning and all the default menus be linked form it? |

Works well on m yPPc - to translate into English, just delete alL the Dutch iN the file - the English text is the default and is used if no alternative text is supplied in the .mnu file. |
