|
|
I have recently purchased the medion 100 and tried to use it today. I click on select map and get nothing, also I had a few addresses keyed in, but when I click on one to try and get a map it says"the selected destination is not within the range of the selected map. Please choose another map or destination". How do I get to choose a map or a destination. The only choices highlighted are Select Map (which gives me no options), settings, help or quit. Can't access One destination, Several destinations or show map.
Thanks in advance

Have you activated the storage card?
The maps (UK) is on the card, without that you won't get anywhere.
Seem to recall that the instruction book details how to, can't remember but its a 'once only ' couple of klicks and its done.
Clicking on the select map should show 'storage card UK & Ireland'
If you are search for an address outside that map area, i.e. in France, you will have to oad the appropriate map onto the card from the CDs
regards

Thanks for the reply.Yes I have activated the card. I loaded everything on my pc and the card came with the maps already loaded. Tried a few things at home and got the position of my house and street on a map on the medion. Tried to get it working today, and the above happened. I have looked at the settings and these seem ok. I even had 6 gps locaters showing on the bottom of the screen this morning, bt copuldn't access the maps.

Not sure what you mean. I don't get the chance to see any maps or plan any journey's. Anyone run me through the process of getting my medion working.

if you use activesnc and explore your storage card is there a file similar to this on the card, TCM-Navigator.cab, yours might be called medion-navigator.cab, on the Tchibo which is the same as the medion you just tap this file and it install the navigator software on the pda the uk maps should also be on the card you donot have to install anything on your pc to get it to work. the navigator should work straight away. |

Have you tried removing the card, wiping the contacts and reinserting it???
Simple idea, it usually works with mine if its playing up.
Sometimes, usually cold or damp, the card might get condensation on it which then stops the contacts making a contact with the contact strip inside the PDA. |

Normally when you first use Medion Navigator on the first menu you have to choose the map (should be something like \Storage\UnitedKingdom Ireland MRE), then on the second menu choose the country (United Kingdom), once done then that will not be required again unless you change to another map/country. |

Thanks to all for the advice. Tried it as you suggest this morning and the maps are there. I tried from home to work but seem to get an error. Turned it on and off again and tried the to addresses again and it seems to work.
Thanks again
