Hi. I am a new user of a NavMan 512 and have just loaded pocketgps_uk_gatso.* and it seems to work ok doing exactly what the instructions said. However, when I get near a camera I get a visual notification of the camera on-screen but not until I get rightup to it do I get a sound (by which time it is too late to do anything about it)- Am I doing something stupid please?

Read P. 29 of your .pdf manual for how to alter the warning distance. You can also set this distance from the Navman POIEditor when you upload a Custom POI file to your device.

I set up my POI options as set out in instructions to 150 feet - Visual & Audio were checked - so I would have thought I should get an audible notification of the camera 150 ft before it. All I seem to get is a visual notification and only the audible one when I get to it!!

That would suggest, then, that 150' isn't enough! The 150' in the image isn't a suggestion, it's an example. I have mine set at 1500 feet, I think.

It also depends on the position accuracy of the POI on the map.
If the submitted coordinates are slightly out then you may well be getting an alert 150 ft before the POI on the map and not the camera on the road.

The best bet is as Tim suggests increase the distance to overcome any positional innaccuracies.

On the PPC version there is an option for 'time before the POI' to give the alert which in my experience gives better control. Perhaps this feature should be incorporated into the iCN version?

I shall have a go at altering the distance as suggested, thank you everyone!
