I've today downloaded CheckPOInt and the camera database.

Found it all fairly straightforward

except........

I've assigned the 'Add new POI' function to Button 3 as suggested, but nothing happens when I press it.

The button itself is working if I assign it to other programs. I've tried assigning it to other buttons but it doesn't work on those either.

In Navigator, Button 3 is set to <Default>
In the IPAQ, itself I've set it to <None>

I've searched this site but not found an answer.

Any ideas?

Hi moggycattermole,

Which version of CheckPOInt are you using?

Version 2.0.2, which we recommend, will save the new POI to an .OV2 file that I think is called CheckPOInt.OV2.

Version 3, saves it internally so that it can be uploaded to the POIplace website.

Regards,

Hi moggycattermole,

The buttons will only work when you have a GPS signal, have you connected your GPS receiver to the PDA?

Regards,

Ahem Embarassed

I feel such a nerd. Works perfectly once there's a signal Embarassed Embarassed Embarassed

Can I ask a supplementary?

As presently operating it does not discriminate a Gatso from a mobile site on screen, or by sound.

How is this done?
