Hi, Hope someone can help I have juct purchased a HP IPAQ 1710 & totmtom software.
I have downloaded this but when I try to download the speed camera software I find that I have this -pocketgps_uk_gatso.ov2
pocketgps_uk_redlight.ov2
pocketgps_uk_specs.ov2
pocketgps_continental.ov2
pocketgps_uk_mobile.ov2
pocketgps_uk_temp.ov2
But nothing comes up on the palm.
Can someone point me in the right direction to load the camera software, I am happy with everything else, but this has disappointed me that it does not appear to be very straightforward.
I am running windows 98 1st version, I dont know if this has anything to do with it.
Many Many thanks in advance

Many thanks for the overview.
While the ipaq 1710 & tomtom work well I am at present very frustrated because it looks like all of the files (bm & ov files) are on the ipaq, sd card.
I have set the program in english & miles, but I am unable to run the speed camera program.
Checkpoint is also on there but it will not run.
Can you somebody help me get started.
Many thanks
A very frustrated goonerbp |

Hi goonerbp,
If you have an iPAQ 1710 and TomTom, then you probably bought the two together as the "TomTom HP Navigation package". If this is the case you are running TomTom Navigator 4.xx, which will not work with third party software like CheckPOInt or GPSAssist etc.
The TomTom HP Navigation package software is similar to that on the TomTom Go, and shares a lot of features including the proximity alert function.
Have a look at our guide to installing POIs (especially the PocketGPSWorld camera database) onto a TomTom GO.
