This is a snippet from BT Yahoo news and it also appeared in the Daily Mail today.

"Speed Camera Nets A Quick £750,000

A temporary speed trap at roadworks led to motorists being fined £750,000 in just two months. Cameras were placed on both carriageways of the busy A27 at Falmer in East Sussex while a pedestrian subway was installed. The speed limit was reduced from 70mph to 40mph, but about 12,500 drivers failed to slow down, and incurred £60 fines."

If it is still there then we really should have this one in the database so could someone send in the coordinates of the camera site.

I saw that too, Oldie, but although the roadmarkings are still there, the cameras haven't been there since I started going down that way in mid-February. I am travelling that road again tonight, by the way.

I have not received any reports in the last two months about cameras in that area. You would think that at least one of the 12,500 caught would have a GPS system capable of recording its position and know of PocketGPSWorld safety camera database.

I used it on Sunday daytime and Monday night/Tuesday morning. Nothing to report, honsetly. But I don't exceed the speed limit (much) anyway, and generally not in roadworks at all.
