I didn't seem to get an answer on the support post so thought I would post question here.
I have linked my iPhone to my account - does this mean I can no longer download the database onto my TomTom as well? As a few people have stated I will be using my TomTom for new journeys and the iPhone for when I know where I am going.
Finally iPhone UUID - there must be a few of us who have two iphones or have two iphones in their family. Now int he past I could download database onto both TomToms in the family. But now I can only load to one iPhone unless I have two subscriptions.
I know a line has to be drawn somewhere to stop piracy but I think perhaps two iPhones might be where that line is. |

You can download the database to as many devices as you like where your tom tom is concerned however the iPhone app is connected through iTunes and uses the iPhone udid number unique to the phone. This is a subscription control measure which means that at the moment can only be connected to one iphone. You cannot subscribe a second iPhone to your PGPSW account. _________________ Dom

So you could do an initial download to a 2nd iPhone for another 59p, but, if you have a PGPSW subscription, you could only use the weekly updates on one of the iPhones? _________________ David

You wouldn't even have to pay the extra 59p if the other iPhone was on the same iTunes Account, the download would be free and as it is a new handset it would get its own 1 x free database.
But you can only link your subscription account to one iPhone device so further updates would require another subscription. _________________ Darren Griffin |
