Why can't I get this stupid favicon to work on my site?
I needed to type that out because I feel that I have tried everything without sucess, so my hope lies here. I remember Darren had some fun with it before but I'm starting to believe this is a real hit and miss adventure.
Facts so far.
1- favicon.ico works with safari and probably others but not IE.
2- Even after deleting temp int files nothing changes.
3- Tried various combinations of <link rel="icon with no luck.
Has anyone with any experience of this got any ideas for me please.
Any abuse will do. _________________ Dom

Deleting it from temporary internet files should force a reload if you have changed it.
I use the following but can't remember why you need both.
Code: | {link href="./favicon.ico" rel="shortcut icon"}
{link href="./favicon.ico" rel="icon"} | (replace curly brackets with gt/lt signs)
PM the url if you don't want it public and I'll see what it's like from a PC that hasn't viewed it before. _________________ Gerry

Thanks GerryC
I'll try those of yours in a bit as they look a little differnet still.

It all seems easy once you've gone through getting a site to work on various browsers once.
