I haven't a clue, as it was the french that named it, I just ski on it! Very Happy

Sorry, frogs. Embarassed I don't know what a grenouilliere is, but a grenouillère is a frog pond. Fancy me confusing grenouilles with escargots - my French master will be turning in his grave!

Sorry Mostdom, I too am late reading this. A wise man once told me to fail is not a bad thing. It's just a lesson on 'How not to do something'.

I'm glad you passed. WELL DONE!!

A word of warning though. Beware the carrot & the stick.

Carrot = Passing the IAM test and possibly reduced insurance costs. Driving
Stick = Fowl up and they hit you harder. Stop it!

A Good thing this catch22 thing isn't it.. Rolling Eyes

Well done. Stay safe.

Happy motoring!

Thanks again to you all, and I'm happily getting into my routine of driving (properley). I'm still waiting for my certificate as they are supposed to formally issue them at one of the meetings.

Thanks for the advice TVR as even now it is still easy to let the standards slip at times. I am currently on a company insurance which isn't interested in my cirtificate unless all of the company drivers do the course, but I knew this before I did the course. Therefore I took on the IAM challenge to improve my driving, and not to reduce my premiums, which I'm sure may be the main draw for some.

Either way, if most people even just tried the course we could probably half the number of serious accidents on our roads. Food for thought.

Thats IS what DennisN's new van looks like, albeit in silver.

It allows you to drive in any direction, and that direction will always be forward, just like white van man does. Rolling Eyes
