What does it say when you try to open an .asc file? _________________ Tim |

I am sure I have tried that, but it will try it again.
I will come back and let you know how I get on.

Just use poi edit and convert the files from one format to .csv format. |
I did this and the Desktop reported files successfully downloaded to the device. I saved them on the internal memory as the files are so small rather than on the SD card.
They appear on the Navman screen with the names I allocated to the files (and they are in bold text indicating they are activated) but when I went for a drive none of them showed up or gave any warnings.
Is it possible to use the default icon for all the cameras - I didn't, just used those with the PGPSW download.
There is also a choice of warning sound - again this time I used the default wav file.
Did all yours load and work OK _________________ Gee-Pee

You can only load CSV files into the N20 POI editor it will not let you load any other type of file unlike the ICN510 POI editor.
Somehow they will have to be changed before.
If we were able to download the safety camera files from Pocket GPS in Excel spreadsheet ( xls ) format I have a programme to convert it to CVS then all would be great
Any sugestions ! |

I just opened files in Notepad then 'saved as' *.csv into the same folder which I used to extract them from the zipped/dowloaded file. _________________ Gee-Pee

I just loaded a safety camera file onto note pad as you suggested and then tried to save as a CVS file but you only have the option of saving as a text file which is the same as it a is already. |

In Notepad, select File - Save as then at the bottom of the Notepad screen there should be a dialog box which gives you the opportunity to "Save as type" - select this and take the option to save as "All files" (there should be a 'down' arrow against the box), then on the name of the original file add .csv and save to the same folder where you extracted the files to from the downloaded zipped folder.

Just use the safety camera file for the garmin, poiloader version, works fine as do all other garmin poi's as they are csv. _________________ Samsung Mega

Just downloaded and installed an extra file, just to see how it works. Dead easy installation and quick through the N20's POI editor - 'My Sounds Admin' - page 96 in the Manual. _________________ Gee-Pee
