I think that you need to follow the guide here http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/uksafetycameras-tomtom-nav3-zip.php and start from instruction #4.
EDIT - Substituting your POIs for the PGPSW ones where appropriate.
MyTomTom is a web based program from TomTom.com which shall allow you to add POIs

thanks for that..... have tried using the Add Community but it would not let me install a .zip file.... i believe the .ov2 and .bmp files have to be placed in the Map folder and not the .zip folder itself.... only problem is, there is a lot of these files for every configeration of hieghts!! please dont tell me i have to install them all individually !!!
Thanks in advance

I've never used My TomTom as my 5-year-old 720 is still going strong, but with older TT devices you have to unzip the file before installing it. If you're running Windows, right-click the zip files and select 'Extract all', then install the resulting .ov2 and .bmp files. I've no idea if you have to instal them individually on the 820.

The instructions AliOnHols linked to don't tell you to unzip the file, so I may be talking rubbish (not unusual!) but it would be worth a try till someone with experience of MyTomTom replies.

don't they provide support for their own POIs on their site? seem a bit odd to have to come to a competitor's site to ask how to install them ;)

we also have low bridge data but it's only available as part of our subscription package (which also includes access to the speed camera database).

anyway, if you have the latest firmware and latest version of MyTomTom then you should be able to upload a single zip file to put everything in one go. However, it will only work if (and only if) there are only ov2, bmp or ogg files in the zip.

Correct - they go into the NAMED map folder (Western Europe, Europe, UK and Ireland, or whatever yours is called) NOT a folder called "map".

Definitely not... The "zip" folder is nothing to do with zip files, its to do with postcodes (the folder was confusingly named after American "zipcodes")

Get used to it! Very Happy
But you only have to install them one at a time if you use Internet Explorer as your normal web-browser (the MyTomTom program uses your web-browser for its screen display).
If you use Firefox or one of the others, you should be able to select all the individual files in one go and MyTomTom will install them all in one go. (See those instructions that AliOnHols linked to)

MaFt is right here, plus a few people seem to have problems with this method anyway (it's quite new).
The "normal" method that has worked for years is to install all the .ov2 and .bmp files as above.
