Look at this, here we have a French manufacturer showing the rest how it should be done.
MICHELIN are using this PGPSW site as a link to sort out faults and problems on their Sat Nav's, it started off HERE and progressed to a dedicated thread.
Is this the future method for a Company to guarantee their customers adequate support, i hope so, with all the reports of Garmin and TomTom ignoring pleas for help they had better watch this.
And what a bonus for PGPSW, this site has now captivated a whole new market.
I will watch closely, if the Michelin is as good as promised and support is as good as this, i know what my next new Sat Nav is going to be.
This doesn't look a rubbish Sat Nav either, read HERE it has plenty of new ideas.
What do you think? _________________ TomTom Go 60

Would this thread perhaps be better served under a different heading rather than "off topic"?
It would appear to me that this is very much "ON TOPIC" as far as GPS and PGPSW are concerned _________________ Andy

Couldn't decide where to put it, as a very general subject, I'm sure a mod will move it to where it is most suitable. _________________ TomTom Go 60

Close your eyes and stick a pin in a subject
My first thought was the News and Latest Information forum
PS my previous post was a prompt to a mod/team member to move it, not a criticism _________________ Andy

May be as GPS_Fan says News and Latest Information might be better!
As you say difficult, i agree not the ViaMichelin forum. _________________ TomTom Go 60

Moved to News and Information. And for what its worth ViaMichelin have an excellent atitude, very keen to discuss anything, always willing to take on feedback etc etc. It's a very refreshing change and one that many others could learn from, after all Michelin are a very very big company so if they can manage it others can! _________________ Darren Griffin |

Darren,
And in no way diminishing what they are doing, they are probably getting the best quality feedback for the minimum cost.
An admirable attitude from a company so big. |

I hope it works for them.
It's also good for PGPSW because it will bring extra traffic and will be integral in the system because the PGPSW forum will be used as a vehicle by Michelin _________________ Andy

We keep hearing about Pocket GPS World's regular contact with maunufacturers and suppliers, along with the semi-regular postings about those meetings.
Perhaps they could bring Michelin's enlightened attitude to their attention, and 'suggest' that it might be in their interest to consider something similar. |
