USA & Canada is called North_America.
Probably your best course is to wipe the SD Card and copy the Application, and the Map, that is the Internal Memory, to the Card.
Then use the Card to make sure that it works OK.
Then you can think about Installing the other Maps. They are designed to be installed with HOME. How are you doing it? _________________ Richard

i have a 1gb card with usa on it and it works
i added the application and all the other off iternal memory and it works with western europe and canary islands but when i add usa & canada and australia its like there not there im just adding them to the sd card as i cannot add them through home unless you pay and download them from tomtom
all i want to do is copy everything off internal add a couple more maps so its on the 4gb card so i will have some room left
thanks |

I've been reading this thread and didn't you say that you have a 4Gb SD card?
If so that may well be the problem, afaik the maximum size supported is 2Gb.
I know I've seen a few people say they've got a 4Gb card to work, but they seem to be the exception rather than the rule. |

With TT's reputation, I'd take that advice with an extremely unhealthy pinch of salt! |

Was very suprised this thread had got so far before any one mentioned the card size...
2GB is the normal maximum. SOME 4GB cards work but they MUST NOT be HDSC (which most are).
If you use the "search" facility and type "4GB SD" in the box (limit the search to the TomTom section), you will get the names of 2 4GB cards that DO work.
Moral: Never trust TT customer support to give you the right answer. |
