|
|
Hi there,
I've got a Nuvi 660 and have loaded parts of the POI database including the Fuel category. I've noticed that whenever I pass a Q8 garage I get an 8MPH speed alert - how exactly do speed alerts work as I though an "@" symbol had to be in the details for it to recognise an alert. Is it also using "Q" as a trigger do you think?

if there is number in the file name it will use that... i.e. if you had a csv file called gatso_30 then you don't need all the @30's in the actual file.
you may have to rename the q8 file name or just upload them in manual mode?

Cheers MaFt.
What do you mean by uploading in manual mode by the way? |

in poi loader, on the same screen where you select the folder with the csv files there is the option of mph/mph and also automatic mode or manual mode.
manual mode allows you to state whether each category should have a proximity alert. bear in mind that you will have to do this for every single file and it can get a bit tedious...
auto mode looks for numbers in titles and sets proximity accordingly (or wrongly in the case of Q8!!)
