8O Just found a bug as follows:
Machine: XDA II
Software: TomTom 2
What it is: Checkboxes disappear in most areas of Settings (eg the checkboxes you should see on the System\backlight screen)
What causes it: The GPS app that comes with TomTom 2.
Other: This is intermittent, I've been into the GPS app 3x now with no problem. Equally I've had had it happen 3x. 2x I had to soft reset, 1x I had to hard reset !!
Looks from the Pocket PC 2003 Support forum that others have had this too, on iPaqs ...

I assume you are using version 2.08 of the TomTom GPS app. Can you try and test the old version 2.06 instead?

Yes, v2.08, should have mentioned that. Don't have v2.06 and to be honest I'm a bit leary about messing around trying to install an older build - I've not used PocketPC much but if its anything like ordinary Windows thta's a recipe for headaches ...

That's certainly up to you. Just for the record - version 2.08 is known to create more problems than 2.06 ... (like usurping the BT so no other BT program can run at the same time)
