In TomTom Go does the POI audible warning (Speed Cams) only work when a route is planned.
When just using the 3D map with no route planned I can see the POI but get no warning. If a route is planned I get an audible warning. Can I set it up to do this please ? |

Works fine for me. Are you sure you have alerting enabled for that particular POI category? It is done by category, not in general.
Make sure your sound volume is sufficient, too.

Yes done all that but still no audible warning. |

I can try again on the way home but it is well possible that when you're idling along (not actively routing) all you get is the flashy icon and the distance indicator.
Keep in mind this system is to be used for navigation, not for cruising.

Hi Hope this helps, I also had the above problem, but if you go into poi management, and edit the poi's ( warnings) it asks you if you want the warning to sound only when the camera is on a set route, if you untick this, the warning will be given even if you dont have a route running.
So far its worked great for me........... |

Yes, I can confirm that the oink oink also works for custom POIs, but only if they are on the route (which you don't have when you idle along) or if you do as T3user says.
