|
|
Hi Guys!
Have any of you tried the celebrity voice skins for Tom Tom from www.voiceskins.com ?
I use Tom Tom on my iPaq 1910, and fancied having something a bit more interesting than the default voice.
Glad to hear from anyone.

What do you want for ten pounds?
I've bought two voices so far and I can tell you they are excellent!
I bet you rarely go out and actually spend money on fun |

That's quite a sweeping and insulting statement to make I have to say. Maybe I'll make up some accusations about you too?
Personally I expect a lot more for £10 of my money, but if you think it's good value, then fine. |

It sounds like the same person doing all the male voices - just with different accents.
It's a clever idea, but too expensive. |

This is a great idea, the default voice is sorta boring, and I would like a less robotic sounding replacement.
However 9.99 is far too expensive. Half it, and I would give it a go for a laugh.
Does anyone know the structure of the voice files, so I could make my own? |

Found them, seems as though it would be easy.
Does anyone know of any FREE replacement voice sets? |

Excuse me? This is not the sort of forum where you come in and insult people. Please leave us alone, or be a bit nicer in the future. |

not meant to be insulting but you'd have to be pretty crazy to bother buying these voices. i've grown used to the default tomtom voice (lisa i think). i've wasted money on my own quirks though i guess so knock yourselves out. i wouldn't recommend the ozzy voice though. you'd probably be bombarded by expletives after making a wrong turn and would be lucky if you got where you were going. If you just need some different voice files then click the link on the bottom of this post and hit the SOUND PAGE tab, you can even listen to a few of the voice files. |

Thanks, nice site (especially as it's a MD95000 I have), but it was the actual turn by turn voices I was looking for.
Similar to the ones on the voiceskins site.
Has anyone found any English alternatives? |

Edited by Dave Burrows - Please refrain from discussing about swapping skins. Swapping is piracy and theft, and cannot be supported in these forums. _________________ Bex
