Hi,
I use TomTom for UK and Europe on my iPAQ and it's the dogs danglies! [with EMTAC bluetooth]
I am travelling to the USA soon and wanted recommendations on the best package for USA. SmartST US looks the best, but I read that it is not available on it's own? Any other recommendations? Mapopolis maybe? |

Mark,
I've been looking into the same problem - and there doesn't appear to be an equivalent site to Pocketgps that's US-centric as opposed to UK-centric.
It appears good options are:
Pocket CoPilot:
http://www.pocketcopilot.com/
- they've just released a version 4 of this software, but it's not cheap at $229.
Destinator:
http://www.destinator1.com/
- Nice 3D interface, but again not cheap at $249
I'm hoping someone with experience of either of these can weigh in and give their opinions. |

if your not bothered about route planning why not use a simple moving map programme like ozi explorer. I went to new your last month and created a map of new york state & new york city that did just as well.
cheerio

Thanks NikosF, I have narrowed it down to Copilot vs. Mapopolis, but Copilot looks better.
Now, If I could just find a UK supplier of the Copilot US version? |
