Is it possible to have the new warnings made louder and repeat as the old ones did,, they are quiet, and short.

Great news guys, I'm eagerly waiting for the Palm version!

Actually I couldn't resist the temptation and tried the new data.chk on my Palm last night. It seemed to work OK - the "Test" for each voice sounded fine, though I didn't have a chance to use it on the road.

I'll use the bona-fide Palm one when it arrives though.

Glenn.

As described in the article - please report your build number and if possible send us your DATA.CHK

Ah, the article said you were working on a Palm version so I didn't see the need to send the data.chk. I'll send it now.

Glenn.

Very Strange, I have followed your instructions to the letter on TOMTOM mobile ver 4.43(313) on a nokia 6600 and the warning sounds are exactly as they were before!

The original data.chk was 618k your one is 652k

Customised alerts have been available for TomTom 3 for a couple of years now.

All you need to do is to configure the supplied wav files to your warning application.

Thanks Mike - how do I do that? - when I look at the overlay settings for each of the files I download (uk gatso, uk mobile, uk redlight, uk specs & uk temp) there is (under properties) a 4 tab section and inFirst & Last Warning I have ticked "Give a warning" but there is nothing in the "Sound" grey box? where are these files if they are on my Ipaq? or when can I download them if they are not?

Can anybody remember the link to the website for spoken sounds. All you had to do was type in what you wanted it to say.

Many Thanks

Omar
