Hi,

Is it possible to get the database as a single OV2 file? I would like to convert it to GNS format for travel-i, which can only load a single file.

Thanks.

The current database was split as not everyone wanted the red light cameras or continental cameras included.

If you want a combined file it would be easier for you to merge them yourself.
Simply open each file in Notepad, cut one set of data and paste to the foot of the other to create one new file.

Thanks!

I've been looking at the contents of the file with text and hex editors and was wondering whether this would be possible...

Oh what I wouldn't give to edit........

You will need to download the .csv files first as it would be easier. Then open each of them in Notepad, cut from one and paste to the other but make sure you leave out the 'Longitude,Latitude,Name' bit from the copied data. THEN convert the new file to .ov2 format.

Sorry about that!

The best way that I have found to combine such files is to import the ones you want into Autoroute. When you have all the files you want, save the file as an .axe and then convert it to .csv or .ov2 (or any other supported format) using Oldie's POIConverter.

Thanks again for the help.

Oldie's POI converter has a very handy append function in it for doing exactly this with OV2 files without the need to start copy-pasting csvs and then converting (which also works). Thanks Oldie!

Doing a copy-paste in notepad and also a command line copy filea /B + fileb /B filec seem to produce the desired result too.

Would it also be possible to change the default ov2 filenames into something like pgps-gatso, because it sometimes doesn't fit on my display with checkpoint 3.2?

Hi Guys,

Did you know that Travel-iSolo (aka Travel-iPro) has a rather good convertor for various different files. Also Does file merges, sorting and Duplicate removal and will put the Files back on the PDA too !

You can also import/export CSV files of Lat/Long label.

Regards
