Can't get wav alerts to work

Hi,
I have got checkpoint and Speedcamera database working fine on TomTom 3 other than it will not play the 30 second and 10 second warnings when the speed cameras are coming up. Other tnan that it works fine. I DO have the cameras coming up on my screen - just no audible warning. Audio works fine on the rest of TomTom. I do have the "give warning" checked on both 10 and 30 second options and I do detect from those overlays. I have the correct wav file being pointed to since it plays the correct wav when setting up. It all seems to be set up perfectly - just won't play the audible warning !!!! I have even completely reinstalled - to no avail.

Can anyone offer any suggestions guys?

Are you starting checkPOInt first as TT3 doesn't start checkPOInt, does the checkPOInt icon appear in the bottom right hand corner as the speed cameras appear if they are selected in TT3
