:D hi can anyone help me in the right direction
I have an ipaq 3760 running tom tom v.3 and just purchased an ipaq navigatin sleeve which i believe is the NAVMAN 3000 to go with it will this work fine without having to download any drivers to run the jacket?
If not what would i need to do?
The reason i purchased this is because i baught the tom tom 3 bluetooth receiver and the TDK bluejaq but could not retrieve the services from the reciever later after getting in contact with tom tom they said that my pda being quite old was not compatable!
Is this true or is there a way around this?
if there is would it be easier to use the bluetooth device or the sleeve?
Thanks for your Help
Baz :D |

With the 3760 a sleeve is probably the better solution, albeit this a pretty old sleeve, and it does need a driver to function (you can get it from our downloads site)
The Navman requires 57600 as speed as far as I recall _________________ Lutz

Hi Baz,
Was just about to reply to your feedback submission when I caught sight of this post!
The first thing is to ensure you have the CoPilot version of the driver and not the Navman version. They cannot be mixed and the iNS Jacket is in essence a CoPilot Jacket.
Installation of the driver is relatively simple, dock your iPAQ via ActiveSync, and then copy the insnavman.arm.cab file to your iPAQ using Explorer.
Once that is done, on the iPAQ, open File Explorer and locate the .cab file, all that remains is to double tap it with your stylus to install. The .cab file will delete itself once this process is complete.
That's all there is to it, any problems or if you need clarification on any of the above just shout
Oh and welcome by the way _________________ Darren Griffin |

what Ive done seems to be working
Thanks for your help darren Im not sure if the mapping software is going to work ok because i deleted all th information on my cf card earlier by accident!
Thats how much of a novice I amI'm not usually this bad on computers but usin my pda is a little differnt and does things a different way.
If i get any more problems I'll be sure to let you know what they are.
Ive had action on the bars in the status screen and its picked up a few satelites just from being perched in the window sill.
so Im hoping its going to work ok on the road.
Cheers again
I never knew forums could b this helpfull for free
