Breaking link of Checkpoint with TT3

I installed CheckPoint some months ago on an XDA2 and chose to make an auto start-up of TT3 when CP is started.
I now want to alter settings on CP but I can't access it as TT3 will be in the way.
I've removed CP then rebooted and reinstalled CP - but the link with TT3 is still there and I can't access the menus in CP!
Do I really have to remove TT3 before I can access CP again on its own or is there a trick I should know about?

There is a trick, fortunately!

If you start up CheckPOInt, then select anything other than the Navigator mode in TomTom Navigator when Navigator starts, you can bring down the Start Menu and choose Today. At that point, you can get at the CheckPOInt icon at the bottom of the Today screen.
