Garmin DS61 removed

After using wireless Android Auto / Google Maps for about 18 months I decided to test a wired connection due to inconsistent connection times.

The connection difference is amazing in comparison.

Wireless, after headunit startup, would take between 10 secs to 2 minutes to 'phone not compatible' requiring a phone reboot.

The wired connection connects even before the Honda safety nag screen is displayed. It's almost instant.

Anyway, as a result, I've removed my Garmin mount and wiring as Google Maps navigation is better. It gives clear verbal and image instructions on both the headunit and the driver display inside the steering wheel area and uses both street names and road numbers where available.

Having just moved to a new unfamiliar area I've used the navigation quite a few times and never taken a wrong turn.
