Sure, it was bound to be your brilliance, magic had nothing to do with it! Rolling Eyes

Whilst on holiday, I was asked to send photos of my birthday cake through Facebook to the lady who provided it. Not having a clue how to do that, I posted two pictures on the group page, naming her and saying what a wonderful thing she had produced, with the intention that people should admire her work.

It got 275 likes within about 24 hours. I don’t even know 275 people - so what’s that all about?

It means that random people have seen your post, and like your pics of her cake.
At least it seems that you have a lot more likes than me on FB Dennis (about 275 at last count)

That's a coincidence as it's 275 more than me as well Smile

Blimey! I wonder what the odds are on that happening?

Sorry to say problem reappeared late last night on a run through Wilstead. Travelling southbound the warning for average speed cameras popped up on screen just before turning off the A6 into the village but no average speed/ vehicle speed appeared on screen after passing the camera. Too late to turn round and do another run to check

Mention of tweaking (of angles?) was made earlier and as the camera is on the inside of the apex of a left-hand bend would this contribute to the problem? I run CA on a dedicated phone with nothing else running and it had performed over the weekend without problems on a return journey to Somerset and back.

OK, so if it has worked previously but now it isn't then I'd say that could be a device issue. Nothing has changed since I adjusted the angles last week so I'm wondering if maybe you're losing GPS signal near there?

Perhaps knock it a tad more clockwise to catch it coming down the almost N/S road. 160 is nearly 20 degrees off the actual approach road az. (but should be close enough?
You are tracking 176.3 degrees until you are within 50yards of where the cam is located in the database.
Just a thought. Very Happy

Haven't been that way again yet. Next time I will use CA on two phones and the Garmin and do a GPS reception check at the camera.

I forgot to mention that I had noticed, for a second time, a camera van operating in the centre of the village between the two cameras. It's not the usual partnership van but seems to be a 'speedwatch' special as it has roof panels front and rear indicating vehicle speeds and what appears to be a speed camera mounted in the rear window.[/img]

The saga continues. Today I drove through Wilstead with CA on three phones. A Moto E which is in the car permanently for CA use. The other two are a Moto G2 and a new Moto G7+.

Northbound the latter two warned of average speed camera on a red bar at bottom of screen and then showed vehicle speed and average speed at top left of screen. The Moto E warned of average speed camera but only showed the vehicle speed until halfway through the camera section when the average speed figure appeared for a few seconds then the red bar average speed camera re-appeared at the bottom of the screen. Turning round and driving southbound gave the same result for two cameras but the Moto E only showed the warning bar. Another two way run also repeated the results.

The Moto E has always shown all other cameras including average speed cameras in the Bedford area it's just this particular location the has the problem. GPS reception was mentioned earlier but that can't be the answer as the other two phones worked fine at the location as does the Garmin sat nav. All the phones also indicate the nearby fixed cameras on the A6.

It's not clear what will happen to the cameras when the A6 roadworks finish in a few weeks time as the village will then revert to local traffic with no rat run.

I made 2 passes through Wilstead today using a S8 and last weeks update. Bedford bound the cameras appeared and the speeds were correct all the way through and switched off. Clophill bound, the speeds were present all the way through, but there was no end zone (marked as end on submission map). I notice there is also no end zone on the Cotton End Road. I believe they are permanent, only because the posts are blue which is what they seem to use on full time cameras, instead of all yellow posts for temporary. I'm sure they have been there for a while anyway, certainly before the A6 was shut.
