Garmin Drive series

If you have the UK / ROI version of a Drive assist series that only has voice control , will this change to voice command if you update the map to a full Europe version.

Not sure what the Op is asking but does a device sold as UK & Ireland have sufficient memory to be updated to a full (or even part) Europe map base?

The 2589 loses some commands if the original all Europe map is changed to a smaller map base to overcome the lack of memory. Commands to set up a route are no longer available and are restricted to history, favourites and Four Square only

Maybe not on board but it certainly can be by using a SD card. I upgraded my 2508 in exactly that way.
