I took a punt on this update (Mac) and it allowed me to buy another year of Live Services for my Go940 (which previously I couldn't buy even through the TomTom website). However, I agree its only a matter of time until more older devices are killed off.

The update is not without errors though as it listed the price as £4.75, but the redirect to TomTom website for payment came up with the normal £47.50 price.

John.

Why not push your luck and challenge them about that, you may even get a refund or other "extra" like maps etc?

HoHo. Yesterday I went online to buy the latest map from Renault for my TT R-Link. UK&ROI is mine and the new(!!) (v1000) map is £40. Right next to it on their catalogue listing was Western Europe for £25 so I bought that instead. I bet it was a pricing error, but I don't mind (and I'll not be giving them any more if they find out!).

Yeah, agreed we're on borrowed time and the Doomsday clock is ticking!

It can only be another couple of years (MAXIMUM) before they kill off the remaining NAV2 and then NAV3's completely; starting with the rest of the "larger memory" NAV2's (later this year I reckon) then "lifetime" maps for them (probably in 2019 {2020 max}), then the rest of the NAV3 devices (2019/2020) then finally the rest of the "lifetime" maps for these (which is when we sail off into the sunset without our satnavs)

Then of course the NAV4's leaving just the useless WiFi NAV5's Mad

TT are just wiping out Nav2 devices. They curtailed my Live Services six months early by blocking the 2G SIM logon
