Hi I am new to this and have tried to follow the instruction but cannot seem to get the information on to my card in a readable format. I do not seem to be able to get Garmin's POI Loader to download and do anything. I can download the database of cameras and unzip them but cannot start the Garmin POI loader. Anybody got any ideas |

What exactly do you mean by 'Cannot start POILoader'? Any error messages? |

The bit that confuses me is 'you can't get POILoader to download'
Does that mean it isn't installed. _________________ Satnav:

Very odd. Check the Windows Event Viewer if a reinstall does nothing. _________________ Satnav:

Asking someone to look at eventvwr sounds like one of those 'computer support' people on the phone who gets you to look at it to demonstrate all the 'errors' to convince you that there is something wrong with your machine and thus extract 'lodsa money' off you to 'fix' it.
There are normally lots of 'errors' and 'warnings' in event viewer, so don't worry about them. The trick, and hard bit, is to try to identify a relevant one.
Temporarily switch off your virus software as well. to see if that's blocking it. |
