2599 full Europe updated in 1hr 13mins without issue, first time in ages.
2597 now updating but - Europe 2017.20 doesn't fit without a card (and I'm fully trimmed) so I've just selected UK&I
What is slightly annoying is Garmins 2.3Mbps download speed when I'm on a much faster fibre connection.
2597 - 31 minutes _________________ DashCam:

What, at 06:50 in the morning
Garmin must be throttling as that is always the speed I get. _________________ DashCam:

Well they've said in the past they don't and that any throttling is at the ISP end. Must say I've never checked it but as my ISP speed has increased over the years the update time has reduced significantly. _________________ Where there's a will ... there's a way. |

This version (2017.20) appears to have lost its 3D terrain effect on my 3598 (all the hills/mountains throughout the UK are no more), even though 3D is reported as being a new installation in my maps. Anyone else having a similar problem? Is it possible to get 2017.10 back? _________________ Dabri.

Does the 3D map show in your map list? If not try reinstalling the map. _________________ Where there's a will ... there's a way. |

My 2569 is the same. I have maps CN Europe 2017.20 Foursquare and CN Europe 2017.20 Western Europe both ticked. (What's the difference?).
What else should I have, and has yours got anything that mine hasn't sussamb?
If that's right, how do I switch on the 3D map?
My D/L showed as 3.3MB/s |

3.3Mbs ?
My top piccy shows 7.42 Gbs.
I've not looked for 3D, don't even know if I've got it, my map looks as normal.
I'll be using mine in anger Sat morning on my trip down to Eastbourne (in the pouring rain if the reports are correct) _________________ DashCam:

Foursquare is the new POI list that the newer models have, both should be ticked unless you don't want the Fousquare info.
My nuvi doesn't get a 3D map, neither does yours as far as I know. _________________ Where there's a will ... there's a way.

I didn't say Mbs I said MB/s Which I believe is shorthand for mega bits per second (or whatever megabits are called these days). |
