Safety camera detectors for the Garmin Nuvi

Hi All,

I subscribed to Pocket GPS today, paid my dues and downloaded the software. However try as I might I cannot get the software to work. Has anyone else had the same problem?

I have loaded PQI loader from the Garmin site

Rung Garmin who tell me that I do not need mapsource as it is not needed with Nuvi's

The software tells me its been downloaded successfully

PQI loader cannot find any .csv files

Can anybody help.

If you download either the Single File or Speed Zoned instead that should do the trick

Wrong - the camera file(s) from here are perfectly adequate for a Nuvi.

There are some basic rules to follow before using POILoader. Make sure you have the 3 sets of files (CSV, WAV, BMP. Then ensure you have the appropriate version of SOX.EXE in the POI directory.

There are a few tutorials here that explain in more detail but downloading the consolidated file list is the first step.

Like a lot of things, once you've done it once and got it working it's plain sailing from then on.
