Having a new computer, I've been following advice from Garmin to set things up.
Going to the device on express, I've attempted to install maps, but the download freezes with 16 minutes to go and won't progress?? Any ideas out there? |

What map are you trying to update? On your new computer which OS are you using?
This sounds like the download is being blocked, do your USB ports switch off at all? Your firewall/AV program could also be causing issues.
Are you connecting directly to a USB port, and not via a hub? Are you using USB3 ports? There have been issues with these, so try via a USB2 port.
You could try the steps here to try to eliminate any other issues:

If none of that works there are other things to try |

I went out and left everything turned on, when I came back, it had loaded up!
Hopefully got UK, Ireland and Western Europe comfortably on the device.
Thanks for your input, much apreciated |

Ah, good. When you said it had frozen and wouldn't progress I thought you meant it had 'frozen and wouldn't progress' |

Must admit, when it didn't move for an hour, I thought the worst |
