This looks curious, does anyone have experience with this... i.e. does it work at the same time as TomTom 3 and can you import the pocketgps speedcam db? |

With normal GPS receiver only one program can use the serial interface. There is one program (Navigon) that allows a secondary connection (kind of a daisy chaining) but TomTom does not work this way.
There is a software available called GPSgate but I am not sure it is stable enough yet. http://www.franson.biz/gpsgate/ _________________ Lutz

Why is it curious??
it does what it says, and you can import, and customise POI's with the Pro version.
For £17.50, it's a good purchase. |

It does not appear to be integrated with TomTom so it would not work at the same time unless you had two GPS ports or emulating software to make one GPS appear as two ports.
I would have thought an integrated with TomTom program is far better as you can then see what is happening on the TomTom screen with the add-on taking over or merging screens as necessary. |

Is anyone actually running the Pro version and can catagorically say that it will not run behind GPS navigation systems sharing the same port as claimed on the download site Peripheral Corner under 'Features'. _________________ Ian.

Travel-i is a stand-alone program and not written for a specific brand of navigation software.
It can either be used on it's own as a speed and camera warning system or used in conjunction with other GPS software such as Smart STv2 which currently has no 3rd party support.
More discussion on using Travel-i with Navman can be found here _________________ Ian.

Hi,
There is a version of Travel-i Called Travel-iTT. This uses the API provided by TomTom to directly access the GPS data. For this version you Don't need GPSGate as the TomTom API gives you that functionality. Install Travel-iTT once you have installed your tomtom, it automatically connects and is working out of the box.
Regards
Andy T
