Green lines on map

I'm in France and I've just noticed that on certain sections of road there is a green line superimposed on the road trace. Anybody know what this signifies? Is it added to the map by CamerAlert or is on the base maps?

I'm not saying this doesn't occur in other countries, just that this is where I was when I noticed it.

It's traffic data. Green means its clear. Orange it bit of traffic. Red means traffic jams
