Hi,
Can I find out on here if our local Truvelo camera is operational?
Some locally say it's not been re-commissioned since a bit of vandalism.
Thanks
Mike

If there's a camera I just assume it to be working & drive appropriate caution, it's the safest way

As far as I know, that type of information is not available on this site.

You could try the local authority responsible for the management of the speed cameras in your area. However, they may well not tell you for "operational reasons", so as to keep people guessing if it's active or not.

Some authorities on the other hand have gone public when they decide to stop using the cameras. In fact if memory serves me right there was a post on the forums a couple of days ago saying an authority was doing just that early next year.

Just had a thought.
If you post the location, possible that other members might know through personal experience - so to speak.

Why are you so desparate to know?

Because West Yorkshire Casualty Reduction Partnership are suppose to have re-commissioned the unit after vandalism.
The local police don't know the score.
Local MP has kicked the matter into the tall grass.
The transport minister passed the buck.
WYCRP are non responsive.
It took a great deal of effort to get the camera in the first place now no one is bothered whether it's working or not.

It's the one on Stainbeck Road on the way up at The True Briton pub, it's either 681 or 68I.
Thanks

Ah, I see. Have you found our submission map that shows all the cams with our ref numbers yet? Click on the big pointy finger in the right hand sidebar.

I'm not wishing to submit a camera location/style... but merely to find out if it's working...

Well try driving past it at speed and see if you get a ticket. It should be with you within 10 days. I was pointing out the submission map so that for any future queries you can refer to our reference number but pardon me for trying to be helpful.
