Tom Tom do it again with their ordering System
Reporter Simon Catlin lets rip at Tom Tom yet once again.
"Yes, Pocket GPS World lovers, TomTom ordering strikes again. While on Holiday, I let my trial Traffic subscription expire - Oh, such a crime. Then today, Monday 6th Spetember 2004 at 11:00, I chose to use re-start my Traffic subscription for one year at the slighty dodgy cost of €49.00.
For once, ordering went well, with receipts and emails galore, but slow down a minute Mr. Catlin with your enthusiasm! What's this, they have taken it from the day the trail expired, what the 27th August 2004? Have I lost my marbles, not I've lost 10 days of my money...
I would not have minded, but I checked it the day it expired and it said 'no-way hosé' in a Dutch accent/
This reporter has already fired off the first salvo by e-mail.
Check back for more news on this fast breaking story and now back to the Pocket GPS World Studio" _________________ iPhone5, TomTom, Google maps, Navfree, Viewranger and Apple Maps (ekk) |

Did you extend by adding to the trial or order a new service?
You have lost the massive sum of about £0.92, how much effort and cost are you going to spend recovering this?
I bought mine before the trial ended and it was added to the end of the trial. |

I think you'll find that's correct.
It done that way for "Continuous Service",otherwise it would mean a new subscription. |

I take you point, but does that mean if I decided to wait six months the service would be billed as from the end of August?
I am not asking for my money back, just the year's worth of service I bought it for. _________________ iPhone5, TomTom, Google maps, Navfree, Viewranger and Apple Maps (ekk) |

I think my wife used to buy some clothes there.
No doubt TomTom will reply along the lines of:
"TomTom traffic runs from the date it starts from which is the first day from when it commences which is after the date when the trial ended which is the last day of the trial. We hope to have answered your question to your satisfaction" |

Apologies for the delay.. been on holiday.
Got this email stating that there is an issue with renewal.. Therefore it may pay to check what you were all billed.
22/9/04
Dear Mr Catlin,
First of all we would like to appologize for the late response. This error has been caused by our system which accidentally added you 1 year subscription to the end of you trial period which finish on 27th August 2004. We have therefore extended your subscription until 27th September 2005.
We hope to have answered your question to your satisfaction.
With best regards,
