A couple of queries/requests

Is the current speed shown on the overspeed warning current or average in an average speed zone? If it's the former I think it should be changed to the latter.

Can the warning be changed to silent and visual only?

Can the current speed be made a little larger? It's very difficult to read at present. Yes I know I have a speedo but we all know how innaccurate they are Very Happy

Often I'll be on the motorway and they'll be parallel roads with say 30mph cameras. This obviously triggers the alert but it is very annoying when it's repeating every couple of seconds. Would it be possible to change the alert so you only get the audio alert once and then revert to visual only for the extent of the threat?

In an average speed zone you get both, an average speed is shown adjacent to the current speed.

Have you checked out all the options in the app for alerts? You can choose pre-warning only, or shortened warnings, change the type, over speed on/off etc

I'll put it on the suggestions list.

Take a look at the user-guides here:

Thanks. I have but it appears that there is only one menu that affect overspeed warnings and that just gives me the choice of no overspeed warning at all or a choice of sounds. I don't believe I can select visual only.

Overspeed OFF should affect the audio alert only.

I don't remember if we offer a "silent" sound in the app. If not you can craft one yourself, put it on the SD card, name it "ding.mp3", and select that for overspeed.

There's definitely no silent option currently.

could I just create an empty file or do I have to do anything cleverer.

I'm usually listening to podcasts whilst driving so would prefer to not have the audio interrupted if possible.

you have to be a tiny bit cleverer. the file has to be a genuine mp3. Say, 100 ms of silence.

We'll include such an option in the next version.

Lutz,

As you've suggested elsewhere, the apk does contain contain some silent mp3s, would the 500ms one be suitable?
