Is it possible to add sounds to the over speed alerts? I have tried to find a folder to add them to, but can't find it.
I find the sounds supplied are too severe. (I just need a gentle reminder, in the unlikely event I accidental speed)) _________________ Steve I |

I hope it is mentioned in the documentation but if not - here's how to do it.
On the external storage (SD card or similar) go to the /data/data/com.pocketgpsworld.cameralert/files folder and place your own sound files there. MP3 format, same file names as in the application package. We had to use that approach already for the Parrot Asteroid as the Android version on that device would not play sounds shorter than a second. _________________ Lutz

No, it's not in the manual. I didn't realise it could be done!
Is there a similar method that would work for JB'd iThings?

on a JB iThing you can use CyberDuck or similar to replace files in the APP folder. _________________ Lutz

OK got most of it, but don't understand the "same file names as in the application package"
I have renamed it ding.mp3 and selected ding in the overspeed list. This does not work. _________________ Steve I |

My apologies. the correct folder is
/Android/data/com.pocketgpsworld.cameralert/files/
on the external storage. _________________ Lutz

Sorry! I can't see the directory at that location. I have also installed it on my Samsung Tab and it is not there on that device either. _________________ Steve I |

either save a gps track to sd card, or create that folder structure yourself. _________________ Lutz

That ding.mp3 file should be good enough. Does your phone maybe have two SD cards? _________________ Lutz
