I don't have windows, so I have to use an USB storage device type to place files on the SD card.

I find it very slow, although the port I use is USB2. are other people also experiencing slowneess when it comes to both reading and writing ?

Ok imapbox, i'll come to your aid.

I find these USB storage devices are slower, compared to a PC system. I'm now on USB 2, and it does it in seconds.

If you have a pc, have you not considered "Duel -Booting".

thx for the confirmation. regarding dual boot -- no that's no option.
