I am trying to get the voice warnings to work on my Garmin streetpilot c320.
If there are mp3 files, they do not play, if there are wav files, the poi loader claims that there is not enough room on the device. I have a 2GB SD card, and the wav files are mono at 44Khz so that should not be the problem. Also I have put sox.exe in the right place.
Anything else to try?? |

Does the c320 have an mp3 player built in, if not AFAIK it won't play the audio warnings, all you get are the bongs - Mike |

For my own device (not a c320) I can put the files on a 2Gb SD card with loads of room to spare.
I just stick the SD card in a card reader, and PoiLoader detects it as a Garmin device.

The message DOES come up on mine.
I don't know if it supports MP3s, but I thought all versions support wavs? |

I know the voice files, but I don't know the Streetpilot, so I'm only thinking off the top of my head...
I assume you've already looked at the available space on the card and added up the file sizes of everything you are trying to put on it, yes?
If that all seems in order, is there any possibility that POILoader is not "pointing" at the SD card and is still trying to load onto internal memory?
As another experiment, what happens if you just add ONE voice file to the folder you send to POILoader? Does that still complain of not enough space? _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |
