Thanks Andy. I think though I've completely messed up. I did find a couple of TOC files which went to Mike Alder, but no idea what they were. But to cut a long story short, with Home 2.8 I removed everything from my computer that could not be copied and redownloaded to and from the computer, ie the applications. So goodness knows what Mike got. I will send them to you but probably should go straight into trash.
Has anyone else downloaded 9.058 lately and got the TOC file still in their Tomtom download file? _________________ Mike R [aka Wyvern46]

Thanks Ian, at least that proves the download 9,058 for the 750 is still available from the server - Mike |

I've just installed a very old backup of the 550 to an SD card & can confirm that TT Home has downloaded & installed 9.058 to it!! |

I already did that earlier, the download link above works fine.
Ian, You could download the 9,058 using the link above, then use WinRar to extract the files from the download straight to the drive letter associated with either the Memory card or device Flash memory as applicable. When WinRar prompts with "Do you want to replace file with the same name" simply click the "Yes to all" option and sit back while WinRar installs the update to your unit - Mike |

Mike, thanks, I already have a copy of 9.058 & 9.120 et al cluttering up my hard drive and just did it as an exercise to see if Home would offer it automatically as an upgrade & to satisfy Guivre46's curiosity |

Thanks for the info. Still hoping for an update that makes everything work as it should. Reports on another forum about XL IQ [non-live] getting application updates. _________________ Mike R [aka Wyvern46]

Copy everything from the device to a 4GB class 6 MicroSD card, insert the card and let the device power up.

I just copied the Europe 2gb map folder over. The internal memory is still used for everything else which spreads the data over both memory locations.
Home always updates fine. I have noticed it has put three other folders on the external card i.e- fuel prices, map and poi.
no probs. after nearly a year of map updates.
TT go 750 live. |

And mine!
That was the whole point of the exercise for me... seeing if 9.058 had really vanished or not. It certainly doesn't appear on TT's list of "latest" versions here. |
