SPECS aren't mobile cameras. 'Mobile' refers to coppers with handheld radar/laser or camera vans etc. Not temporary roadwork cameras.

Yep - give the man a coconut! Don't know why, though, as it was inevitable that we'd have them and TT wouldn't. _________________ Dennis

They have, but it might be on the horizon, as Speed Camera downloads were implemented today, so POIs could be only a few days away. |

They are clearly already slipping on their PR announced schedule at the top of this thread though! Not impressed at all. It is a real shame, because the new hardware has a solid and well designed feel about it.
Are TomTom still using RoadAngel's camera database for Live services camera updates on these new units? |

Was it my imagination, or did TomTom announce that 1000 would be able to run Apps written by third parties from a TomTom Apps Store?
If that's the case, when was the TomTom Apps Store due?
If the TomTom Apps Store ever became a reality, then PocketGPSWorld could investigate the possibility of producing a version of CamerAlert for TomTom units.

semi-imagination... it was mentioned by tomtom that moving to webkit-based OS would allow app's to be installed easier. 99% of websites/papers etc assumed that meant an appstore akin to apple or android.
pretty certain tomtom denied this though. i think they were referring more to updates to their own software being easier to install.
