Is anyone actually aware of any TomTom plans to restrict third party POIs or is this just throwing toys out of the pram over hearsay?

Oh dear!

I wonder if that will mean a resurgence of third party POI warning software such as POI-Warner which I used to use on TT6?

Plug ins like POIWarner won't work as TT pulled the SDK a while back...

Excellent news - I tried a custom menu on a 9.051 (I think) and it looked like support had been pulled for it.

Having used a Tom Tom for all of a month, I have decided that I would not buy one.

I just don't like the company or their business ethics.

Driving my Mazda over the TT and wrecking it was wonderful ...... Jumping With Joy

PS. I am thinking of putting the remains in a glass case as " A Statement "..... Twisted Evil

Did it have any last words? Possibly "Was it something I said"?

All I can say is "Well done Tom Tom".

I won't be buying any new products. If 3rd party poi support is ever removed from my 730, I will stop buying new maps and just buy another company's sat nav.

Great way to do business, Tom Tom.

At a month old, PaulaThree, surely it's still under warranty? Get your money back from TT! Wink Rolling Eyes

Tell them that you were negotiating a roundabout in your convertible with the roof down. The TT supplied Windscreen Suction Mount failed (yet again) and the whole lot was tossed out and onto the road. The cars following ran it over.
