Hi All,
The above model is my first Sat Nav so this may be general issue with Sat Navs. When I try to navigate around the maps by pressing and dragging the touchscreen, it nearly always "bounces back" to where I was previously. I am finding it extremely hard to move around a map this way - sometimes pressing for longer on the screen stabilises it a bit, but even then it often pings back! It's really fustrating! I have a touchscreen phone and although both have taken a little getting used to I really don't have that problem with the phone.
Can anyone advise if this is something that I should expect?
Thanks
Steve |

Hi Steve,
I have an HTC Desire phone and it took me a while to get used to the touch screen, but I love it now. I then decided it was time to upgrade my satnav to the Garmin 1490T and I was supprised how far behind the technology is now. I just had to remind myself that the Garmin is not the top of the range like the Desire |

Yeah, I agree, but my phone is LG KP500 Cookie, hardly top of the range! It really is difficult to drag and then stop in a point on the map on the nÜvi........it seems to just ...ping back to where I was - do you find this ? Maybe there are some settings to do with the touchscreen sensitivity I can adjust - or maybe the software needs time to catch up? I estimate this would have to be more than10-20 seconds , though?
It's really annoying... |

Steve, I have the 1390T and I find it a lot easier to use my fingernail rather than my finger to move the map. It seems to "stick" to my fingernail somehow. |
