Safety Camera Operation in V5

Dave, great and complete review certainly made my buying choice easier.

Question, with the safety camera POI will the system alert me when approaching a camera if I'm not driving a pre planned route.

As an example I will have the system on travelling around the Heathrow area of London but will not be using the route guidance; in this instance will I be alerted when approaching a camera OR will alerts only happen when driving a pre-planned route. Also are the alerts verbal, visual or both.

Having spoken with ALK this morning they will not disclose the dates the retailers will have stock, but suggested this will be weeks not months.

I'm thinking of using the Sysonchip CF receiver in my Mercedes ML, any comments regard this receiver / software combination, What receiver would you buy to compliment CP5 (80% in car use, 20% walking in London to find meeting addresses). Ipaq 2210 hardware.

TBH, I haven't tried it. I think (and may be wrong) that speed cameras won't trip unless you're in guidance mode and Navigating Mode with a route planned.

As you already have a 2210, I'd go with a Bluetooth GPS.
