|
|
Hi,
I have searched FAQs and threads but seem to come up with more Questions than Answers.
It would appear from threads that if I update maps that I will lose
1) Favorites
2) Speed camera warnings. *Could be a real pain as I intend to have GB and EU speed cams loaded)
3) Other stuff ?
Can these be backed up before loading a map ? and which folders/ files contain the information cqn they re restored wihour too much hassle ?
There is discusion of ver 840 and 845 map versions, How do I find out which versions I have, ?
I have very recently purchase an XL live IQ which has the following system / map info 8.419 displayed on the routes screen.
I understand that I get a free map upload, within 30 days so any advice would be appreciated. I take on board BACKUPs, lost too much data and learnt the hard over many years in the IT business !
Is there other information hidden elsewhere ?
Thanks for your help

On the routes screen, tap the version 8.419 to get another screen which displays map version details.
See discussions about Latest Map Guarantee for the full help on updating within 30 days. The latest map is v845 and there will NOT be another one within your 30 day guarantee period, so download that one.
For info, there is often a certain amount of confusion posted - people say Application v8.419, others say 8419 (Application is often referred to as Navcore) and with maps they say 845 and 8.45. See the second screen I mention above for the horse's mouth stuff. _________________ Dennis
