ICN 530 map updates

I guess this has been asked before but, where can I get map up dates for my ICN 530, the originals seem to tell me I am in the middle of fields or lakes, when using new by passes Rolling Eyes

or would I be better off putting the thing under the car wheel and buying summat newer

There was an indentical question a few months back. The answer was, for numerous reasons, the least of which is navman don't do maps for the530 anymore, best to buy a new one.

I personally would't put it under the wheel of a car - there must be someone you know deserving of a hand-me-down. Perhaps you don't have an enemies you dislike that much Very Happy

..... You may even be able to fund a small part of you upgrade using ebay.

The question then comes what to replace it with. You may find driving though fields a more desireable option.... I am out of touch now with all the options as I have switched to cellphone, online + open source electronic and paper maps, as I found (for me) the annual cost / benefit ratio too high for a dedicated PND.
