If it is the same as other current TTs, then generally 169 categories, but I think it's been reported that some software can handle over 200! _________________ Richard

That will depend on the software version that you are running, but most recent releases seem to allow around 169 POI Categories. (Each category can contain very many individual locations). _________________ Garmin DriveSmart 50 LMT-D |

Thanks guys.
I haven't got my TT with me - but I'm on the latest version, 8.4xx I think. I've only just bought it and it's been updated online.
169 categories - to be clear for example, one category could be a chemist. Then it could contain Boots, Lloyds, Superdrug etc. So it's irrelevant how many different chemists there actually are.
Correct? |

I'm not entirely sure what you are asking so here's an explanation. One category is one list of points with one category name and one icon. In that category, you can just have eg 'Boots' with a Boots logo which just has the positions of Boots chemists. Alternatively, you can have the same one category and call it 'chemists' with a generic logo and have chemists of all 'brands' in the list.
Which you choose to have is up to you. The question is - do you want to find a 'Boots' chemist or any old chemist? You may have a discount card etc for a particular one. _________________ Gerry
