I don't think threshold is an option - I think mine kicks in above 73mph after a couple of seconds (i.e. not immediately you cross the threshold )

On my TT720, I have my speed set to 75mph.
can change this by going to Change prefs, and then Safety Prefs, you have an option to tick the box for warn when driving faster than allowed, or warn when driving faster than a set speed.

Don't know what the tolerance is on the 'driving faster than allowed'. I would have thought it would be pretty spot on what the speed limit is supposed to be.
Always assuming that the map is up to date and the road speed is recorded by TT accurately.

That's correct. The tolerance for 'faster than allowed' is part of the built in system code and isn't capable of being user defined, unlike the other setting you mentioned.

The warning seems to be triggered at about 10% above the indicated speed limit on the map. Seems fairly accurate in France but I don't know about the UK.

Slightly off topic, but when we were recently in France, there was a news item that the French police were setting prosecution levels at speed limit plus 5%, for both fixed and mobile cameras. Not a lot to spare at 50kph.
