|
|
Thanks to my grandaughter I have "lost" the SD card for my Via Michelin X960. I don't have any backup for the information that was on the SD card.
I have had a quick look through the forum but can't find any similar problems. Can anyone give me any options to get me up and running again or will I have to look for a new satnav.
Any suggestions gratefully accepted.

Hi and welcome to the forum
If you have the DVD / Content manager installed on your PC you should be able to restore the SD data to another card I think. I haven't tried this so can't guarantee it.
The only other alternative would be to contact VM and see if there is anything they can do. Proof of purchase etc. would be required presumably. _________________ Mike

Hi Spikey
Tried Content Manager and found option to reinstall mapping on SD Card. Unit appears to be functioning normally again.
Many thanks for your suggestion.

Fantastic, glad to help.
What seems hard or really difficult to some is straightforward to others. That's what I like about this place, we all have various experiences and we can all have our own little brainwaves every now and again to help others out.
Of course there's always 'the experts' and we all defer to them _________________ Mike

Personally I think you are . But try Content Manager just to see if there it recognises your unit. And if you have any serial numbers etc. or any other identifying info with the unit (not likely from a market!) contact ViaMichelin to see if they can (will) help. Maybe there is a registration on their site for this unit which may lead to some restore option.
Anyway, Good Luck. _________________ David
